if you named her something like Raquel, you could give her the nickname of kelly. But i don’t really like it as a first name.

I love Kelly it’s not dated. it’s funny how people are like it’s 80’s to me when names like Caroline are 50’s don’t here any complaints there:) Just saying. Love Kelly it’s on our list

When I hear Kelly, I think of the Barbie toddler. I just can’t see it as the name of a teenager in high school.
What about-
Kaitlyn,
Kelsea,
Annika,
Kaelyn,
Kayla,
Kassandra,
Laken,
Locklyn,
Ellery,
Emily,
Kasen,
Kallista,
Kassidy,
or Kira,
which could all have the nickname Kelly.

I once knew an Anaka who went by Kally (like Callie) and I always loved her name. Why don’t you name your daughter Callie, or Callista/Calliope/Cailen nn Callie, which is very similar.

I love Kelly! I think its a great name :) Maybe it used to be common in the 80s, but at least she won’t be one of 10 Emma’s or Addison’s or Isabella’s or Ella’s etc in her class!
