I think about two years is a good age difference. I only have one son right now, but I hope to have maybe three more boys or girls

Well, I have one child from a previous marriage. I dont know what the optimal age difference would be. Some want two or three years apart. Some want more or less. I think that it depends on how much you can handle. Several small children at one time is too much for some but some can handle it. Also, consider having several teenagers at one. I on the other hand have been trying to get pregnant with my husband now for several years so I dont have the great option of choosing but I know that it will happen in time so in the mean time I am here to assist helping you all :)

I know two people who have had eight kid. One of them had such big age differences that the oldest son was 22 when the youngest one was born. It was like the older ones had kids of their own. So I think closer age differences are better. But the other woman with eight kids had all eight under the age of 9 and so that’s too close. Maybe 2 years is the best

I’ve always wished for four boys. Call me crazy, but with my friends’ kids I always liked looking after boys more than girls. I have both a son and a daughter, though, and love them both. I think for smaller amounts of children, really close age differences are better. But if you plan on having eight or something, maybe 3 years would be better so the older ones can help you take care of the little ones

It depends on your older children.

My older son was very helpful and mature at two, when we had his younger brother.

For most kids, I think a little close to 3 is better.

We have stopped at two.
I think 3 is nice as well, and if you can handle more-more power to you!
We consider it our obligation to pay for four years of college for each of our boys in addition to the other expenses of having children, and we simply can’t afford more right now.
I also have a hard enough time keeping up with my two.
I think a lot of moms want more until they find out how challenging two can be!

I’m 30 weeks pregnant with our last child ( a girl). I wanted to be done by 30 and I’m 29. I have two boys ages 4 and 6.

The optimal age spacing is different for different people. For me it’s 3 or 4 years. My sister thinks that’s way too far and is happier with 2 or 2.5 years. Everybody’s different.

I have 4 kids, all 2yrs 3months apart, except this last one will be 3 yrs apart to my due date. It’s worked out great----they all get along fine and play well together. Yeah, the teenage years will be interesting, but adventurous! We will pay for as much college as possible, but are hopeful for scholarships too......and there is nothing wrong with student loans==that is how my husband and I did it. Too many kids are given a free pass today, if you know what i mean.
