I like Lucy, but I don’t care for Alice. Here are some other names I think go well with Lucy.

Lucy and Ella

I love Lucy and Lyla! Do you think that Lucy is too old-fashioned for Lyla? Should I use another L name with Lyla?

Well, Lucy is both old-fashion and a bit popular. I think Lucy and Lyla are cute for each other. Lucy and Leia (lay-uh) are cute too.

Don’t use 2 L names. People will confuse them and you want your daughters to have different personalities that people can tell apart. I think Lucy and Alice are lovely. I don’t think that Lucy is old fashioned at all. If you want to make Alice more modern, you can call her Allie.

They are perfect. Alice and Lucy are both beautiful. If you’re looking to modernize them, Alyson and Lucia (nn Alys and Lucy) are more contemporary. I don’t think you need to, though. They’re perfect.

I love classic names myself, and while these are old fashioned, old fashioned is "in," right now, so they will fit in just fine.

I might do something like Lucia and have Lucy as the nn, but that’s just me.

The combination is great.

I think Lucy and Alice are both beautiful names, and while they are slightly old-fashioned, I think it’s in a good way - charming but not fusty. The names go very well together, too; complementary without being too matchy. Perfect! If you love the names, I think you should go for it.

(P.S. I think Lucy and Lyla are too much together, and that it would be best to avoid twin names starting with the same initial.)
