Avery Grace. I went into "labor" about 8 weeks early with my first and was having contractions from 22 weeks on with my second. My water broke on its own with my first (we made it to 9 days before my due date) and I was induced with my second after 5 false alarm trips to the hospital. He was also born 9 days before his due date. I am probably not the best one to ask how I felt because my pregnancies were so "not normal." I worked a half day the day my water broke and felt fine, though. I was so miserable with my son, that I was begging the doctor at every appt to induce me then. Sorry, I know that isn’t much help!

Yes, it is! I’m due soon. I’m nervous because I’m not really sure what to expect. I’m also open to other name suggestions!

Thanks! I went to a check up on the 20th and he said she has dropped. I was sent to the hospital for a non-stress test and was told that I’m already having contractions. I’ve been having alot of pressure and some thick discharge (sorry, tmi). Does this mean I could have her soon? I guess I won’t know until she’s here, but I keep thinking she could come soon.

If you’ve had a normal, healthy pregnancy, most babies come a week late. My cousin is going to be induced on Tuesday because she’s a week and a half late.

No, it doesn’t always mean she’s coming soon. How far along are you?

37 weeks!

37 weeks is considered full-term...even if she does come soon, I wouldn’t be too worried. Have you had any health problems while you’ve been pregnant?

Hypertension, but that’s it. I’m not really worried about it, more so anxious. Thanks!

How did you feel before you went into labor?

It must be mild hypertension...hypertension can sometimes cause earlier labor. But you’re at 37 weeks, not a big deal. You’ll do fine.

Helena Christine is so pretty and slightly unique. A month before my mom and all of her kids, she would go into preterm labor. But then we were all born after are do dates. Except one of my siblings were 8 week early. How many weeks are you did you lose your muscus plug.

I take Aldomet to keep my hypertension under control. He is talking about scheduling an induction after my appt this week. I’m not sure if I’ve lost my mucus plug. I’ve had alot of thick discharge esp after using the restroom, but nothing pink or anything.

That sounds pretty good then. Good luck!

Avery Christine or Avery Grace

My 2 year old Avery was born a day before her due date. I "just didn’t feel right" the day before the real contractions started. Of course, the real contractions lasted for 2 days before she was born. Fun. GL. Avery’s middle name is Leigh. Claire was the other option.
