Sawyer for a girl? vs. Love it? vs. Hate it?

The name Sawyer was suggested by a family member for our baby girl that is due first of June. Opinions for the name for a girl - I know there a lot of people here that don’t like boy names for girls & such - so please be kind. I’m just getting general public feedback. Thanks! Older sister is Sydney.

I’m not a fan of boys’ names on girls.

It’s not the worst one I’ve heard, though.

I think, though, that since your other daughter has sort of a gender neutral name that you should choose something for your second one that is also modern but a little more feminine.
Otherwise, it gets to sounding too much like you have all boys-or a law firm-kwim?

How about Sydney and

I hate the name on a girl-sorry.Maybe some of it is that I’m a huge Lost fan and associate it with the character on the show but I can only picture this name on a guy.

1st poster- law firm - i like that! :) Harper was also suggested by family, but I’m not a big fan b/c our last name starts with H... other names I like include: Addison, Audrey, Jillian, Amelia, Phoebe, Keira, Kyndall, Ella.... but am open to other suggestions! :) Thanks!

I don’t see why Sawyer, being a surname more than a first name, should be considered a boys name vs a girls name.

But, to go with Sydney, it wouldn’t be my pick. How about London?
