Genevieve vs. nn Ginny?

Does the nn Ginny work for the full name Genevieve? I really love Ginny as a name, but my husband will only go for it if I can find a full name to give her that sounds professional. We also have four older boys named William ’Liam’ Oliver, Elijah ’Eli’ Benjamin, Christian ’Chris’ David and Daniel ’Danny’ Michael. Thanks!

I pronounce it like Jenny. I like the spelling Genny better too but I think the nick name Ginny would be fine.

I think the nn for Genevieve would be Jenny. Usually Ginger or Viginia have the nn Ginny/Ginnie. I’ve also seen Ginnifer...

I think its fine.You can call your kids whatever you want and usually it sticks if you call them that enough. Genevieve is a gorgeous name and Ginny is adorable. It will work fine. I mean, my name is Lillian and instead of Lily, my parents called me Lili (Leelee) all the time. This is what everyone else calls me, even though it isn’t the expected nickname for Lillian.
