thoughts of vs. the spelling

Hey. We decided on Kady Jane for our baby girl, but can’t choose the best spelling. We’ll always call her Kady Jane and don’t want people to call her just Kady, so maybe we should make it a hyphenated first name? Also, Kady Jane sounds kinda short with our last name, so maybe one more middle name would work. So, the question is: which spellings do you like more (Kady, Kadie, Kadey, Jane, Jayne)? Hyphenated or not? Which middle name then? Thanks, Martha.

Hi! I think Kadie Jane would be the best. But I prefer Kadence, this is a gorgeous name. Kadie seems to me just a nickname which is childish.
What about Kadence Jane? You can call her Kadie.

Thanks, but we like just Kadie without any formal name, I don’t think it ages worse than Kelly, Molly or any other similar name.

Kaedy-Jane/Kadie-Jayne with no mn would be just fine or
Kadey-Jane (maiden name) last name would be great too.

First I think Kadie Jane is a perfectly fine name. It will age just fine. However, it is short enough that if yo wanted to hyphenate it with a second middle name that would be fine too. This may prevent shortening it in the future.

My sister’s name is Mary Jane and that is what she has been called her whole life. It did, however, get shortened to Mary when she started working. Family and friends still call her Mary Jane.
