My husband and I are adopting 10 month old twin girls from China in a few months and we have been given the opportunity to pick new first names for them! We have 6 little boys and have been told that I am no longer able to have anymore kids. Our boys’ names are Jacob "Jake"(16), Liam(15), Elliott(9), Graham(7), Keegan(4) and Wesley(3). Can you suggest name pairs for our new little girls? Their middle names are Luli(loo-lee) and Qiang(kee-ang). We want the girls to have sweet, pretty names but nothing popular. Please help us out! Our surname is Sangster. Thanks in advance! ~Claire & Tom

We have just suddenly and unexpectedly lost my mother, Mary Louise (Mary Lou). She was so looking forward to meeting her first grandchild. We had picked out the name Beatrice Catherine for our daughter, but now I am thinking I want to name her for my mom. But I wonder if using some or all of mom’s name will just keep reminding all of us of our loss. (I do know that in time we’ll feel better than right now.) I’m really confused right now. I’ve got such a jumble of emotions (excitement to meet our baby, grief for my mother) that I don’t trust myself to make a good decision. My husband thinks we could use Beatrice or Catherine as a first or middle and some part of mom’s name as first or middle. But he also said right now he’s worried it might feel more sad than honoring. Just not sure what to do. Would truly appreciate some outside perspective. Thank you all so much.

Hi! My husband and I are expecting our 3rd child. The gender is unknown. We are due in July, so we need a name pretty fast. We 2 little boys named Jack Sawyer 5, and Cohen Levi 4. Jack has blonde hair, brown eyes, and freckles on the nose. Cohen has Blonde hair, Blue eyes, and freckles on the nose. The baby is most likely to have blonde hair. That might help with naming him/her. We will have a list of names in the comments. Please pick your favorite boy name and your favorite girl name. Please add a middle name. Thanks!!

My partner and i are currently TTC, now my partner hates looking at names so when he comes to me with a suggestion I always try to like it. He came home yesterday and Suggested Elle or Ellie, which are both lovely but a bit nicknamey for my liking. So we have compromised and agreed to use it as a nickname if we can both agree on a full name. I suggested Elowen but he’s not too keen on, I would love some suggestions along the same lines; uncommon and sweet. Sorry for the long post! I look forward to some great suggestions

My hubby and I absolutely love the name Spencer for a girl. We know boyish names on girls are not everyone’s taste but please tell us what you think. Do you know a female Spencer? Does it work?

Maya Willamina Faye. What do you think? Should she go by Maya, Willa, or Faye? Siblings are Lena Vivian Rose, age 8 (Viva), Iris Gwendolyn Eve, age 3 (Eve), and Cora Lavinia Grace, age 1 (Cora)

Narrowed down name list and added middle names. Please choose your favorite. Feel free to mix and match the names! Thanks

We’ve come up with a list of boys names that we like and can’t narrow down really. My husband is from the UK and we want to make sure that the name is used both in the US and overseas. Names will be in the first comment, just tell us which you like and which you don’t! Feel free to add anything that you think works also. Thanks

So before anyone says "don’t give your twins the same first initials," it is a family thing(my husband’s grandfather and his twin sister had matching initials, Felix and Francesca). We want our twin boys to have matching first initial to sort of honor them but have names with different sounds. Is Lucas and Liam a good pair? Lucas will likely go by Luke when he is older. We are also completely stuck for middle names. We have an older son named Taylor Michael. All middle name suggestions and opinions are welcome but please don’t start the whole "matching first initials is such a horrible thing to do to your twins" debate. Thanks! ~Shannon
