Voted for svea. Out of interest (doesn't change my vote just curious as I've not heard of Svea / Solvig before) is svea pronounced s-vay or s-vay-ah or other pronunciation?
Love freja but I just feel like she'd be always correcting people automatically wanting to spell it with a J (coming from someone who always has to spell her full name (ari is so much easier))! Haha.

I have only seen it spelled Solveig. I didn't know Solvig was an option. But Sole-vay is how I pronounce it. I was checking comments to see if Solvig was a typo, actually. Either way, it gets my vote.

I like Freja spelled as both Freja or Freya. I love Scandinavian names so was used to seeing Freja (and other names/words like Bjorn) spelled with the j's), Svea and Solveig sound nice too, I think it might be easier for people to accept the pronounciation of Solveig easier than Solvig, almost as if it was Solveigh, but they'll probably always call Solvig Sol-vigg. Freja is more well-known globally

Thank you for taking the time to reply - hope you don't mind me asking - I'm so intrigued by names I've not heard of before - especially form other countries / of other origins! Just lovely! :)

These names aren't quite that ancient lol. Vikings were actually a very social civilization only about 1300 years ago and most of these names have stuck around in Scandinavian countries still to this day. Cavemen are more like 4000+ years ago lol

Solveig would've gotten my vote! If you meant Solveig over Solvig I would probably redo the poll.

5000-10000+ years ago, before the Bronze age kicked off around 3300BC... Vikings are actually rather historically modern compared to cavemen

Caveman names wouldn't sound pretty, they'd lack a certain phonetical finesse of civilized languages

Personally I'd go with Freja assuming you're in the US or another English speaking country. It would be too annoying to explain Solveig for a lifetime. Some other Scandinavian suggestions:
Ebba
Ingrid
Elsa
Annika
Linnea
Lovisa

Seriously, caveman names would be stylistically lacking and void of cultural influence, otherwise they wouldn't be pre-historical cavemen and would be part of civilization. Vikings may have been barbaric in reputation but they had a very advanced society compared to 'cavemen'. There's no record of caveman names because they were before any known language, hence PRE-historic pre-civilization. Just make up some names that sound like grunts and gurgles and you're probably more accurate than anything used in the last 3000 years of recorded ancient eras
