I knew a Mattias in college a couple years back and it was pronounced Muh-TEE-us. He was from Argentina, so I don't know if that makes a difference.

The Mattias I knew also pronounced it like the first one. I prefer it with the two t's.

It's usually supposed to be pronounced Ma-tee-us, but I've known people who spelled it Mathias and pronounced it Ma-thy-us which might actually be incorrect but sounds nice

I slightly prefer the Mathias spelling, but Matthias is nice too

There is also Mateo/Matteo (tay) but that's actually Matthew not Matthias.
