Baby girl Names vs. From list
Long story short, I'm of mixed British/ African decent and OH is Celtic. We've thought of giving our daughter a African name. However, we realise we have to be select if we are going to do that (we live in an area that isn't too diverse to say the least - and I'm fairly light coloured in skin (I'm mixed raced) and have a British accent).
That being said, we have come up with some names we like and their African meaning (in first comments)- how would you rate them and could we use them?! If it helps our surname is Hurgis. Thanks in advance!

Btw, I would have assumed Alora was pronounced uh-lor-uh. But I would have pronounced Alara more like uh-law-ruh though.

The only one I don't like that much is Kia. The others are beautiful! My favorites however are Nyla & Kaia. I do like Alora but my first instinct was to pronounce it like A-lore-uh. I love Nyla the most though.
