In my opinion Dion looks more like a girls spelling while Deon has a more masculine feeling.

I prefer it spelled Dion, because it is the original spelling of the name. Originally Dion was actually a short form of Dionysios, which comes from the name of the Greek God Dionysos. All of which are traditionally masculine names.
