Is Richter a surname? I am not a fan of it.

I voted for Malachi. I feel Andres flows better than Richter with your last name. Have you considered Andreas or Ryker? Never heard of Mordecai before but I'm liking it.

@AndyK ... Thank you, & I don't like Andreas or Ryker. I've never really heard of the name Mordecai either until my boyfriend mentioned it last night. At first I didn't like it, but now I kinda do. Lol

Different guest here. Just to chime in about the Biblical Mordecai. He was an honorable man and a hero. He uncovered a plot to assassinate King Xerxes and thereby saved the king's life. He also persuaded his cousin, Queen Esther, to appeal to the king to repeal the genocide decreed against the Jews. Indirectly, he saved the lives of all the Persian Jews. This historical event is still celebrated as Purim by Jews today. So, although I don't like the name itself, he would make a worthy namesake. I am not aware of other famous Mordecai's throughout history, which is why you and many others might not have heard the name before.
Malachi is also a Biblical name, meaning "my messanger." Malachi was a prophet and the book bearing his name is the final one in the Old Testament. I know 2 Malachi's- one goes by Kai.
I love the name Andres, especially with Novelo. I knew an Andres whose last name was very similar to yours actually. 3 syllables N-ve-o
Using a family name like Richter in the middle name spot is fine. It just doesn't hold as much appeal for the general public that doesn't have that personal connection. But it could be really special to you. It's fine to use if you want to.
