Spelling Help vs. Isabela vs. Isabella

My husband likes Isabela spelled with one L. I don't have a preference. I have seen both spellings. It's also not as popular in my area as I thought. Would love some advice and help. Thanks!

Isabella. Never seen it as Isabela, and poor little Isabela would be correcting people on spelling her whole life! But she's not my baby!

Isabella is how it should stay or everyone will spell it wrong
