Linda was the number 1 name in America from 1947 to 1952, so I absolutely can't separate the name from 70+ year old women in my mind. It's dated in a way that does not yet feel fresh again - give it another 20-30 years

Linnie / Linny (either spelling) is cute, but feels too nicknamey to stand on its own. You might also like Linden as a full name, as in a linden tree. You could even use Lindy as a nn, sort of a combo of both names on your poll.
Linnie / Linny could also be a nn for Linnet, as in linnet birds. Plus, Linnet is a minor character in King Arthur tales. Good luck! :0)

Linda is just incredibly, incredibly dated right now. Linny is cute but feels very nicknamey. Lenny and Lindy do too of course, but they seem slightly more like they stand on their own to me. I think Linley, Lynnette, or any name ending in Lyn could give you the nickname Linny.
