Basically Helen with an uh sound at the end, like it's spelling. Have no idea where people get the other pron. from

Isn't Helena, Montana said HEH-lin-uh? At least that's what I was taught in school (nowhere near MT so I can't say definitively that it's how they say it there).
I'm assuming people are getting the heh-LAY-na pronunciation from Elena which is typically eh-LAY-na, at least where I live.

I think pronunciation for Helena differs based on location/language, as many other names. I immediately Heh-lay-nah personally, but none are necessarily wrong.
