Marina reminds me of marinara sauce

I don't get the marinara sauce association. Marina is pretty. It does remind me of water but definitely not sauce.

Marina is beautiful. I realize the word "marina" brings to mind sail boat docks. But for me it's very Slavic, a diminutive of Maria. Plus, the English nn for it, Marnie, is very cute. Good luck! :0)

I really like it. As long as you don't mind word-names, I think it's great. I also like Marin.
