James (Jimmy) vs. middle name?
Hi- My husband and I are expectin son in June. My husband is set on naming him James(which is a family name on both sides) with the nick name Jimmy after his two idols Jimmy Page and Jimi Hendrix. I am not a big fan of the name but it’s very important to my husband and so I’ll work with it. I have two questions- one which is the best way to spell Jimmy? Also, what would be a really hip, more "in" name for a middle name? I want to put a little jaz into his middle name! Thanks so much, Katherine and Dylan

James is a great name. It’s my brother and dad’s name. Don’t make the name a known person like James Cameron or James Dylan. It’s going to embarrass the kid. James Logan is good. And keep in mind that Jimmy will probably end up Jim as an adult. (Which, honestly, I prefer over Jimmy.)
