I think Jax is cute as a nickname and Jacks looks like it might be multiple boys named Jack. It's cute either way, though.

Jax looks better to the eye, but his full name is spelt Jackson. Jacks would make more sense imo. I guess I don't think it really matters because how many times will he actually write his nickname. I went by my nickname(s) most of my life, but always put my full first name on papers in school and such.

I think Jack is cuter and not as trendy. Jack is not a name you won't regret using. In a few years Jax/Jacks will likely be out of style.
