Don't use Dixie if you're in the US. Things with that name are changing their names because of the connotation to the old south and slavery. Maybe Beatrix instead

The first syllable of Dixie lends itself to some serious potential teasing.

Similar names would be Penelope nn Pixie and Bernice nn Nixie.

Dixie is just an overall bad choice and has a really unattractive sound anyway. I mean, the first syllable comment explains it. Dix… doesn't sound good. Sounds like D!!cksey

Dixie is not a great idea. Connotations to slavery and the exploitation of Black people are what comes to mind. Also, I don't know what girl would want "Dix" (aka D-i-c-k-s) in their name. Think of your child and how she would feel before yourself. She has to live with your choice for life, not you.
