Elsie vs. Elise

Which name do you like the most? Also, please don't pronounce Elise as "EEE-leese". We want this name pronounced as "Eh-leese"/"Uh-leese". We're somewhat tempted to spell it as Elyse for something funky!

I highly doubt most will think of lysis when seeing Elyse. Elyse is also my preferred spelling. Also, where I'm from, I've never heard of anyone pronouncing Elyse/Elise with a long E.

My oldest is actually Elise and I love her spelling, it's the traditional one (I have no problem with Elyse though) I just feel Elise is prettiest. Also dates further than Elyse

Elise is a beautiful name. It's never once heard anyone pronounce it Ee-lease - I've only ever heard the pronunciation you want. Much prefer this spelling - Elyse looks like eh-LICE
