I love them but I prefer them with the hyphen. It seems to me that a hyphen can be a bit annoying when filling out forms and people writing down your name, etc. I think just a first and middle name and using both will stick - if she introduces herself as Mary Anne or whatever you choose, people will likely call her that. It also gives her the option to go by just Mary eventually if she prefers that.

My favorites are Mary Anne and Mary Alice, as mentioned above. Just avoid Mary Sue, as that is a film/media critique term used to describe a character who is unrealistically and often annoyingly without any character flaws.
