You need to think of her FIRST and what is best for her. Naming her after a hobby is disheartening.

Why not just Roam like Rome?
Not a fan of the options listed.

While I don't love these, out of the 3, Roamilly at least sounds like a name and gives her the nn option of Milly/Millie

I wouldn't call it a hobby. Traveling is something I want to be extremely important in my family's lives so it feels more like a virtue of sorts.

I like just Roam too!

Not a fan of Milly. I'd probably use Roamie as a nickname for the other two!

Romie is a better spelling. Same pronunciation, nicer spelling. Out of those 3, Roamie.

I also like the Romee spelling!

Romilly is a really cute name, or use the word Roam as a middle name. I'm sorry but each of the choices here is a ridiculous name. Imagine it on a resume or on a congresswoman.

Something about Romilly just doesn't sound quite right to me, for some reason. Roam would be an awesome middle name, although from what I've gathered being on the site, I don't think y'all would like many of the other names I like lol. I don't have a difficult time imagining these names in a professional setting at all. I work with kids and all of their names are going to grow as they do, whether they're Katherine or Kinzleigh.

Roamilly gmv of the options. Have you thought about Romany/Romani? Also, just a note, roaming doesn't always have the most positive connotation. Just something to think about for your daughter since she will be wearing the name. Good luck!

Since I'm not part of the Romani group, I would feel uncomfortable using it as a name.

Something about Romilly you don't like but you have it as a choice, just misspelled at Roamilly? If this isn't a joke poll you're not terribly bright

I've always pronounced Romilly like RAW-mill-ee, not ROW-mill-ee. That's the pronunciation that I don't think sounds quite right.

^^ since Romilly is a form of Romilius, which itself comes from Romulus, which is pronounced RAWM-yu-lus. :)

I prefer the normal Romilly spelling. Adding an OA might have some people read it as a hiatus, ro-AH-mi-lee.

How about Roma ?

I think I saw someone else post 'Roam' as a middle name today or yesterday..coincidence or are you that other poster? Either way, I don't care for Roam or any variation of that. What about Romola? It's very different and pretty.

That was me as well! Someone mentioned using Roam as a middle name so I wanted to give it a try. I don't care for Romola, I'm afraid, it's too frilly for me.

Roma is sweet but again, the connection to the Romani people (collectively known as the Roma) gives me pause.
