At least for me, my tongue would trip up all the time with Elsie and Edie, Elsie and Isla, and Elsie and Sylvie, even though those names are all great! Of those three, I think Isla would be the least problematic for me. My favorite from your list is Margot. It has the same whimsy as Elsie while sounding totally distinct.

I love Isla, so gorgeous!

I think unfortunately that a lot of these pretty names will sound too similar to Elsie, including Isla, Etta, Edie, and Betty for sure. I think Winnie would work, or Margot. Do you like Annie at all? Maybe Florence, Primrose, Olive?

Elsie and Edith (Edie) gmv. Darling. They are a bit samey, but not overly so. They still work together. As long as you don't feel obligated to use another E name for any future children Elsie and Edith work.

Isla is my second choice. Margot, sound wise, is the best with Elsie, meaning they share no sounds. But Margot is more sophisticated so the styles aren't really a match, if that matters to you. Elsie and Betty are both nns for Elizabeth so the only one I'd say is not usable for you is Betty.

Love Winnie and Lottie, but not as stand alone names. Good luck! :0)

My faves are Winnie and Lottie.
They are perfect with the style of Elsie.
I really like Sylvie too but I was worried it might be a bit close in sound.
I think a name with a "nicknamish" feel is exactly what you need to fit with Elsie.Something more formal wouldn't feel right.

Addie and Maggie are a couple more that would fit perfectly with the style of Elsie.
