Daphne Willow vs. Daphne Willa
It's down between these two. Daphne is set as the first name and definitely going with either Willow or Willa to honor a William. Just trying to decide which one flows better; Daphne means "Laurel", so it goes well with "Willow". But I also like "Willa", which means "desire"/"protection". If you don't like either one, just pick the one you hate the least.

If you're trying to honor a William, Willow doesn't do that. Sure they have the same prefix but it's not a form of the same name. Willa is a perfect choice.

I didn't know the meaning of Daphne so I think you're ok on the double botanicals without it being in-your-face.
For whatever reason, I like Willow even though I have never even remotely liked Willa. Maybe it is that nature connection, who knows. Willow feels light whereas Willa feels heavy. In my opinion, both options work to honor William pretty clearly.

Daphne Willow works well too. It gives off a boho vibe. Since the aim is to honor a William I went with the feminine form, Willa.
