Eliana vs. Elliana vs. Eleana

Okay...so I really like the name Eliana, but I’m scared that is sounds made up - which it’s not. It’s a hebrew name that means "my God has answered me". I think that it’s a beautiful name that leaves a lot of options incase me little girl doesn’t like it. Do you think that it will age okay? For some reason I’m terrified that I’ll name my baby a name that’s going to sound trendy, made up, or just plain weird. All I want is a classic, pretty name that is not too common. Please also give me your opinion on the spelling - and middle name suggestions. Thanks!

Eliana.

Eleana looks like it should be pronounced differently. There is no need for double LL’s, keep it simple and you won’t enter in the trendy, weird, made up category!

Love this name it is actually on my list because of the meaning. I have been waiting for several years to get pregnant with #2 and when it happens this meaning fits it perfectly. I would go with Ellie as a nick name and the mn that I am thinking of is Aracelle
I also like Eliana Christine :)

Well, I don’ think it looks made up, and I agree with others that it’s pretty.

Now, is it trendy? Well, yeah. We know an Ella, and Elliean who goes by Ellie and an Eleanor who goes by Ella, and that’s just in our circle of immediate friends.

Your little one will likely be in class with at least one other girl with a similar sounding name.

That doesn’t make it bad, though. It just means that a name you like is similar in sound to other popular names that are currently in style.

If, though, you are really determined to have something unique, then I would rethink it.

If you want an ah sound in the name, I would definitely go with the top spelling.
I think the others are likely to be pronounced with an "ann," sound or like Elena or Elaina. Also, those two spellings look much more contrived than the first one.

Eliana is pretty & I love the origin & meaning. If you’re worried about it sounding/looking made-up, then spell it the traditional way. If you add an extra L or change the I to an E it will definitely look made-up.

I had picked out Lily for my daughter, but when I saw her it didn’t suit her. Eliana fit her perfectly!
