Lennon "Leni" vs. Just Leni
My husband and I both love the name Leni (Lenny) for our daughter however he thinks she should have a "full name" and wants to use Lennon. While I do like Lennon I feel like you should name your kid what you'll call them which in this case is Leni. Wdyt?

I don't like Lennon, especially for a girl.
I think Eleni nn Leni or even Leni as a full name would be much prettier.
Other options for full names are Elena, Leona, Eleanor. They are a bit more of a reach, but still doable and pretty in my opinion.

It was pointed out (I think on this site?) not too long ago that Lennon sounds just like Lenin. Those who might appreciate Lennon's music might not necessarily want their child to share a name (albeit only in sound) with the former Soviet leader.
If you never plan to call her Lennon, I don't see why you'd name her that. If you really want a full name, there's also Lennox, Eleanor, Lenore, Lenora, Magdalen, Helen, Ellen, Lauren, etc. But Leni is fine on its own.

I love Lennon and the reasoning above would never change my mind. Leni is nickname to me. I think a full name is a good idea even if you will only call her Leni . Maybe she doesn't want to be called Leni all the time

If I were you I'd pick something like Elena. Eleni is nicknamey and Lennon is just ugly. Reminds me of John Lennon, Lemon, and now that other comment about the Soviet leader. No positives to the name at all .
