I've known girls named Madelyn/Madeline who don't go by Maddie. I think Madeline nickname Dell or Della would be adorable, or nickname Mae. Emmeline is beautiful too, I just want you to be able to use the name that's special to you!

I adore Emmeline. Super darling. I do like Madeline too, but I agree with your on Maddie. Very over used. Yes other nicknames are possible, but you don't know what she'll want to go by or what others naturally call her. But I also think since Madeline has meaning, its worth thinking about.

I don't like Maddie either. That's why I voted for Emmeline. But what if you chose a different first name and kept Madeline in the middle name spot?
