Leslie vs. Lesley

I'm expecting a girl in June and think my partner and I are now set on the name Leslie/Lesley we just need to decide on which spelling to use. I believe traditionally Leslie is the male spelling and Lesley is the female spelling but personally I prefer Leslie and feel it actually looks more feminine with the ie or is that just me? Although would it being spelt Leslie mean it'll be spelt wrong all the time due to it traditionally being the male spelling? Let me know your thoughts. Kind regards ~ Lisa

I've only seen it spelled with the ie.

My name is Lesley. My whole life, everyone has spelled it Leslie. To the point that I've given up correcting people and just let them spell it Leslie.

The only female Leslie I know spells it 'ie'

Do not like Leslie . Feel it's very dated . And people will call her Lezzie like Lesbian. But Leslie is better than Lesley because she will always be correcting people.
