Full name for vs. Henry or Harvey

My husband's family has a tradition of full names with nicknames. Our sons are Judah -we call Jude- and Shepherd -we call Shep-. If we can't find a full name, then he will be Harrison -we'll call Harry-

Your post is confusing because Henry and Harvey are FULL names.

Henry nicknames = Harry, Hank, Hal

Harvey nicknames = Harve, Arvey, RV

I think Henry or Harvey should be the full name and you can find a nickname from them. I mean maybe for Henry, Henrick could work if you like it. I love both Henry and Harvey. Not a big fan of Harry, like Harrison though with the nickname Harris or Hayes.

I love Henry!
I feel like Henry should be the full name.
Why not Henry nicknamed Harry?
Works just fine for Prince Harry :)
Or even Henry nicknamed Hank.
