Alternative Spelling vs. Traditional Spelling
Yesterday, I asked about the name Saige and some people commented that they prefer the traditional Sage spelling. It got me thinking. Our daughter is Kassadi - obviously, a non-traditional spelling. It happened to be the one we like. Ultimately, we would use the spelling we like best, but would a traditional spelling look strange next to Kassadi? Would another alternative spelling be too much? I'm overthinking it now! I hope to hear some good thoughts!

I like to spelling Saige. Sage is a spice, imo.
Sage is already a word- Saige looks like youre illiterate.
The tradional spelling is always the right way too go.

Oh, I should clarify, I'm asking this question in general, not just for Saige/Sage! Regardless of the name we decide on, should we pick one that has an alternate spelling we like so it goes with Kassadi or is that not an issue?

I'd like the alternative spelling more - especially in combination with the name Kassadi.

Traditional spelling for me. A name has to last an entire lifetime. Alternative spellings come and go out of fashion. Good luck! :0)
P.S. I do have exceptions to that "rule" above. But they have some other association, like Skye (the Scottish isle) or Wolfe (Tone, the Irish patriot). So if you have another association with Saige -- or another name -- other than "it's different" then go for it. Hope that makes sense. :0)
Saige looks fine. Go with what you love. People that know her will know how to spell her name.

I lke traditional. I think Sage would look fine next too Cassadi.
There are a few names I like with creative spelling. Word names are not the ones.

I was one of the commenters that said I like the Sage spelling better, which is just my preference and if you love the Saige spelling better then go with the one you love. I like the name either way. For me I feel at least where I live it is still a unique enough name that I haven't heard except for on here to where it still goes well together with Kassadi without the alternative spelling. Obviously I don't know where you live in the world so maybe it's not as unique as it is where I live. Please go with whatever spelling makes you happy. Good luck!

Sage. I hate when people misspell names that happen to be words. Like Winter and Rose or something. It can be the perfect name because people usually already know how to spell and say it because of the word and people will know Sage because of the herb. It's just unnecessary. I think Kassadi & Sage look fine. Sage is an uncommon name too, it doesn't really need to have a weird spelling to "match" Kassadi's

I like the Sage spelling but really don't thing Saige is that bad. For other spellings of names or really depends on the name. But you don't have to have another Alternative spelling to match your other daughters.
