Depends on nickname. I like Lawrence nn Law.

Laurence is the most authentic as it's close to the original Roman name of Laurentius. I'm also a fan of actor Sir Laurence Olivier. However, be aware that the Laurence spelling is used for girls in France (Laurent is the male version).

The Lawrence spelling is more common in America and it's been around since the 19th century. To me, it's more of a surname than a first name.
