"EV-uh-lin" gmv. I'm in the U.S, west coast, if that helps.

I like both pronunciations. Outside of Downton Abbey episodes that's the one I always hear. Good luck! :0)

Back in the day, Evelyn was a male name and pronounced with two syllables.

The female pronunciation of Evelyn is three syllables.

So both pronunciations are correct in their own way.

Lol I'm just now finding out I've been pronouncing Evelyn wrong. I've been saying something close to ev-lynn since I've never actually met one.. eh-vu-lynn sounds cuter now that I think about it

I know an Evelyn and it is pronounced eve-lin but I know that it is commonly pronounced Ev-e-lin
