I really like them both. They are the same genre of name in my opinion. They are both in the top 20s of popularity. I really think it would depend on flow with the middle name and last name. Or if you have a preference for certain letters. I ever so slightly prefer Ethan.

Aidan is not a trend of the 2000s lol it's been used in Ireland and consequently the UK a long time. Aiden is an americanized misspelling trend of the 2000s

I've known men with both names. If you want something slightly uncommon in comparison, Ethan. Aidan has been very popular where I am in America and judging from the previous comment, popular for a while in different countries too. Ethan while popular I don't think it's overly-so. Both aren't bad choices though
