Lilian vs. Lillian

We can't decide if this name should be spelled with 1 L or 2. I don't think we'd necessarily call her Lily, if that matters. Which way should we spell it?

I've usually seen Lillian with two lls and Liliana with one l and think they both look much, much better than Lilian or Lilliana which just look misspelled.
