My Husband loves the name Charlotte but I'm nervous it's too popular right now. I love the name Emerson. We can't decide between the two..Please help!

Both are popular so I would choose the one you live best. I work in early education and personal know more Emersons than Charlottes. Not to mention all of the Emerys, Emilys, Emilias , Emmas and other popular "Emmy" names.

I love both names - charlotte could go by lottie as a cute but uncommon nickname. emerson could go by emmy/emmi, but those nicknames are still popular

Emerson is definitely popular too. It's one of those names people think isn't getting traction but it really is. If you want uncommon I'd go back to the drawing board entirely, but I like Charlotte and wouldn't recommend against using it. I just don't think either of these really fit what you're going for if you don't want popular
