Eleanor vs. Leonor vs. Leonora

I really love both Eleanor and Leonor and Leonora (El-lin-or vs Lee-uh-noor vs Lee-uh-nora). Leonor is the princess of Spain and I think her name is so beautiful. I also like the classic Eleanor but don't care for "Ellie" thoughts?

I do adore Eleanor, but with the possibility she could choose to go by Ellie and since you don't like that, I'd go with Leonora. Leonora is just as lovely and offers other nickname options you may like better if she chooses to go by one.

I think you have to go Lenore or Leonora if you don't like Ellie. If you name her Eleanore I think you'll always be fighting that nickname. This is actually why I didn't pick Eleanore for my daughter as well and now she's Lenore. GL
