Elora vs. Eliora vs. Elodie
Please vote and comment your thoughts. I have loved Elodie for a couple years now and I feel like it's unfortunately becoming more popular - just as soon as I have a chance to use it :( It mainly bothers me that it's Millie Bobby Brown's character's name in the new movie "Damsel". Let me know if I should let that deter me. I like Elora as another option but do not like that it could be shortened to "Lora" aka "Laura" - I don't care for the name Laura. Then there's Eliora, which I like but not sure if I want to use because it's too many syllables to say for my liking. Let me know your thoughts, thanks!

I wouldn't let one movie nor a slight bump in popularity dissuade you from using a name you absolutely love. I say go for it!
I'd say it's fine to use Elodie. I haven't met one yet. You might also like Melody. I happen to really like Eliora but it sounds like you're not that into it. Same goes for Elora. Were you especially wanting an E name or Ellie nickname possibility?

I don't necessarily have to have an E name, it just seems as though my husband and I like a lot of E names for a girl :)

You can't go wrong with any but if Elodie has always been the one for you i'd still go with that, unless it was suddenly the #1 most popular name
