Opinion vs. On nickname

I want to honor my grandma, Victoria, and my teacher Lori, who means a lot to me. I thought of using Lori as a nickname for Victoria, similarly to using Bill for William. What are some outside opinions?

Bill is short for William due to a consonant change influenced by Irish pronunciation. Lori is not a diminutive of Victoria but Tori is. Perhaps you may wish to use both names to honor both women. Maybe something like Victoria Glory or Victoria Hannelore might fit the bill, so to speak 😉?

I agree with NameHog. Maybe it would work if you used a middle name starting with L?

Victoria Lorelei
Victoria Lauren/Lorin
Victoria Lorenza
Victoria Lorinda

Gloria would be a slight nod to both Victoria and Lori.

Gloria is a great suggestion.

I agree with namehog, came to say something very similar, in fact.

Victoria Lori, or Lori Victoria, and straight up using both names in full also works.
