Penelope vs. Just use Nell
I have always had a massive love of the name Nell for a little girl (also like the spelling Nelle) but now I am in a position to be naming a girl I am struggling to work out if Nell works well alone, or if it is better as a nickname, what are your views? I've looked at a few lists that show names that Nell can be short for and like Penelope the most (also don't mind the nickname Penny if it works out that way). What are your opinions? Thank you.

Nell (Nelly and Nellie) is a diminutive of names such as Helen, Eleanor and Ellen. Do you like any of those?
I think that Nell can be used as a stand alone name. I just like Penelope better with Nell as a nn.

Even Elena or Helena will work as full names for nn Nell.
I think Nell works on its own but i do love penelope so i voted for it lol

I love Nell! I think it can totally stand alone. It's so sweet and simple. I would just use Nell. 😊
