Pollster here.
Isobel and Jane are, in fact, family names. Jane was my maternal grandmother, and we don't find her name overused or plain, but rather universal, rich in history and charming in its simplicity.
Our older children have two middle names. No middle name is necessary but we choose them out of tradition.
