For a girl vs. Which spelling?
My husband and I have chosen the name Jett for our little girl but we keep going back and forth between Jett and Jette. I feel like Jette looks more feminine but I know it will be misspelt. Which would you choose? We are not looking for negative comments on the name, just wanting feedback on which spelling.

I personally don't think adding an "e" is going to make the name appear any more feminine. Even if you spelled it Jytte, it won't.
I would do Jette vs Jett for a girl.

Well, Jette would be in keeping with French names that become feminine with an added -e (Rene/Renee, Michel/Michelle, Jean/Jeanne). I do think that the extra -e will cause pronunciation problems because of the ballet term jeté, which is also used as French name. Final answer is, I'd go with Jett.

If you must use the name, I think Jette would be best. It looks just a tad more feminine that way imo.

If some people heard a male named Jett, they may assume it's spelled Jet instead of Jett, right? The similar sounding name Bette can be pronounced like Bette Davis (Betty) or like Bette Midler (Bet) too. I think Jette looks a lot cooler than Jett and yes, strangely enough, it does look more feminine as well.
FYI - there is an American actress named Jette Newell and Jette is also a place name in Belgium.

^ forgot to mention in my post above that Jette is also a Danish and Dutch girl name too and it means "home ruler". It's a diminutive of Henrietta/Henrietta.
Unfortunately, in this case, the girl won't be getting the "cooler" girl name of Henrietta to fall back on. She's just Jett or Jette or whatever.
