Of the profession names that are popular right now, I don't find it the worst and the nickname Archie helps it not be in the super trendy but quickly forgettable names category. But I think Asher is nicer than Archer.

I think Archer is a perfectly fine name … it's just not my cup of tea.
It's definitely inching up the popularity charts (#126 in 2022 per SSA).
That said, if you're ok with an army of Archers playing on the playground for the foreseeable future, go for it … especially if it's a name you love!

Asher is a good similar choice. You might like Dawson.
