Names don't have to match. I like Harley.

Luciana is gorgeous. Scottie, Lennox, and Harley...not. It's not fair that one girl gets a beautiful, feminine name and the other doesn't.

I don't want their names to match because despite their shared family ties, they are still individuals. My daughter doesn't have a problem with her sibling having a unisex name while she has a more girly one.

She doesn't have a problem because she has the prettier name. They would still be individuals if you gave your other daughter a girly name.

My daughter is 11(almost 12), and she couldn't care less about her sibling's name. It has nothing to do with her name being more feminine. She isn't petty like that. I just don't want this baby's name to match my daughter's name in any way.

Your pre-teen probably doesn't care about the new baby's name but if that new baby is a girl, that little girl might have feelings of envy and/or resentment as she grows.
The names don't have to "match" per se but the little one could have a more feminine name.

Match. Dont match. Who cares? Just find something attractive. These aren' t.
More attractive unis are Shannon, Dana, Shiloh...find one somewhere.

That little ampersand you used indicates that you are interested in some sort of matching.

I prefer giving my baby a unisex name instead of a gender-specific one this time around. Even though my baby may even not be a girl, a unisex name is my preferred choice. While I appreciate your input, I'm teaching my children (particularly daughters) to look beyond such things, but thank you for your opinion.

Love the automatic assumption that it's always the girl with a unisex name that's going to be 'jealous' of the sister with the feminine name.
For all people know, it could be the other way round.

^Speaking as someone who has a unisex name, I was envious of girls who had less boy-ish names. Sure, it could be the other way around if that person isn't very feminine. I myself am.
I always find it so funny the comments will be having a huge meltdown about boyish names on this site and when you look at the poll options again it's the most mild unisex names like Harley & Riley 😂 but I'll give credit where it's due I dislike Scottie a lot

Harley is the name of a motorcycle company. So, to me, that's a pretty masculine association. Perception is in the eye of the beholder 🤷🏻♀️

For a boy? A unisex name would work just fine. Out of the options you've listed, Scottie gmv.
