Mandy vs. Yes vs. No

I'm expecting a second daughter and I love the name Mandy. My husband is alright with it, and we are looking for opinions on it. Personally I would not want to go with something like Amanda, if we go with Mandy that will be her full first name. Our elder daughter is called Kate Emily Rhiannon. Other names we have considered are Monica and Melanie, I like the M initial. Open to any feedback including suggestions and middle names…We have been accused of having an 80s name taste!

Your taste seems fine by me! While I'm not very fond of the name Mandy, I do like Monica and Melanie. I'd add Marina, Miranda and Marissa for your consideration.

I prefer Mandy as a nickname. Kate is strong and Mandy seems juvenile next to her name.

What about Maegan (Meghan), Melicent (Millisent) with a nn of Millie, Meredith, McKayla (Michaela), Morgan or Morgana are more modern.
