Pollyanna syndrome is an actual thing. I think Polly space Anna would be nice. But if you're dead set on a middle, I'd personally keep it short.

Separately, I like Aaliyah best but when paired with Pollyanna I think Cora sounds best. Something short since Pollyanna is already long.

Find a first name you both love.

Have you seen the old movie Pollyanna with Hayley Mills? She's annoyingly cheerful. I have to say that puts Pollyanna in a negative light for me, though I generally like Anna names: Julianna, Joanna, Susanna, etc or just plain Anna. Do you plan on calling her Polly or Anna or the full name? I find most people with 4-syllable names end up shortening their names- or having others shorten it anyway. What do you think of Anna (first name) Polly (middle name)? Or Polly (fn) Anna (mn) and you can call her Pollyanna at home but most of the world would call her Polly?

No to Pollyanna… it's a term for when someone is overly cheerful and overly positive in an annoying or even toxic way. What about Mariana, Marianne, or even just Polly?

Unfortunately, if your husband is not so sure on first name, you need to go back to the "drawing board".

In general 3 or 4 syllable first names sound best with 1 or 2 syllable middle names. I voted for Cora since the other choices were 3 syllables.

I think just Polly. It's a great name and doesn't have the negative connotations of Pollyanna. Love Cora as a middle.
