Ayelet vs. Ayala

I prefer 'Ayelet', as it is derived from one of my favorite Hebrew phrases and is also the name of some great female role models, but my husband thinks that the variation 'Ayala' is more usable as a first name.

I agree with your husband. I like Ayala. Ayelet sounds like Eyelet.

I understand your preference but I think Ayala is nice and modern.
