I don't find Parker cute at all for a girl. Or Palmer for that matter. I'm also not a fan of Paisley.

I agree with NameHog. If youre following the tradition of the child already getting his surname and the father is still alive & well, I find it overkill to be honoring him. The surname legacy is usually an honor enough to men. If she's not getting his surname, disregard that but im still not huge on Parker for a girl. Paisley is far from my favorite but I prefer it over Palmer.

I would not name my daughter her Dad's first name. Sometimes parents use a version of their middle name for their child, though it is usually Mom's for a daughter.

She needs her own name. plus it's confusing to have two people in the same house called by the same name, on an everyday level just talking to them and distinguishing who you're talking to (yelling up the stairs!), but also because they have the same first and last name for things like letters, drs appointments etc.

i like Paisley. or you could use Parker as her middle name. i don't care for Palmer.
