To me Jael sounds like a southern person pronouncing Jail,
There are much better similar names out there for example Janelle.

Those are some really cute names! I LOVE Jael Karsyn and Jael Kiley! If I had to choose just one I world say Jael Karsyn because I think it flows the best. Good luck!

Why don’t you try this name out for a few weeks in public, ask around about what people think and try introducing yourself as Jael to people you don’t know. Talk to some local school teachers about their opinions too. They see hundreds of names and can give a good idea of how people will view that name. With all the "jail" comments you have already received, you might want to put some good thought into the name before choosing it for good. Your daughter will be stuck with this name forever.

My name is Jael and it is a beautiful name. For everyone saying its not and that it sounds like Jail, youre just uncultured And name your kids basic names like bob.
