Jane vs. use vs. don't use

What do you think of the name Jane? We like it, its linked to both my grandmothers' names (Janine and Janet) and it was the middle name of my boyfriends mother too so it would be a great honor name. Issue is that it is quite old-fashioned, but do you think it is too 'plain Jane' to be used? This is our first baby and its a girl confirmed but our boy name is Nicholas, and I was convinced we were having a boy so didnt give the girl name much thought until now.

Jane is short, sweet and simple. This name is a perfect example of the phrase: less is more.

I LOVE the name Jane!!! I think it will be next on the list of classic names to make a reappearance. My husband doesn't like it, but it was top of my list! Go for it!!!

Definitely use Jane, great choice for great reasons. If it feels too plain to you, throw a curveball wild middle name into the mix.

The irony of this name is that it's uncommon nowadays. The plain Jane association is so unoriginal. She'd definitely be the only Jane in a classroom of all the actual popular and should-be-called-plain names like Olivia, Emma, Harper, Luna… Jane has a pretty low chance of sharing her name & I like that
